2026 BCRA ISSF 300 Yard Championship Match
The BCRA's long running match was held in conjunction with The Mission Club on June 6th and 7th on Mission's newly configured 300 yard range.
The match attracted 19 entries from the Lower Mainland and the Interior of the Province, with only the Island unrepresented.
With the usual organizers of the match unavailable a backup squad of volunteers stepped in to host the match.
Extra thanks to our out-of-town guests for their help.
Brian Mylleville, well familiar with the Mission range, delivered our safety briefing and filled one of the four Range Officers slots.
Johan Sauer, Don Pitcairn and Al Katona rounded out the RO crew.
Steve Baarsden, a guest, assisted Jim Paton with the Tech duties, enabling Jim to shoot.
All competitors, locals and guests worked to set up and take down the firing point end of the range while Niko and Johan Sauer oversaw the targets.
The match ran smoothly, a tribute to all who participated.
The match was at risk of being cancelled, and with everyone pitching in to make it happen, everyone appreciated the event.
The Class winners in the Grand Aggregate were Ken Holmberg in F/Open, John Haywood in F/TR and Jim Paton in TR.
